Marc Ellman, M.D.Marc Ellman, M.D. grew up in New York and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Ursinus College near Philadelphia. Dr. Ellman then graduated from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. After a medical internship at Penn State's Lehigh Valley Hospital, Dr. Ellman completed training in medical and surgical eye care at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident in Ophthalmology.

Besides caring for patients at the Southwest Eye Institute, Dr. Ellman is Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center College of Medicine. He has been involved in numerous published research projects and is author of the "Cataracts and Glaucoma" chapter of Duane's Ophthalmology, a prestigious ophthalmology textbook used to educate ophthalmologists throughout the world.

Dr. Ellman lectures regularly to other physicians and the public on various health topics. He is also a regular contributor to Life Extension Magazine and was the medical editor of “How to Live 365 Days a Year,” a book published by Running Press.

Dr. Ellman performed magic professionally for 14 years. He is an instrument-rated private pilot and is a volunteer for Grace Flight (http://www.graceflight.org/), an organization that provides free flights for medical and humanitarian purposes.

Catherine F. Baston, M.D.Catherine Baston, M.D. Catherine F. Baston, M.D., was born in Ohio and grew up in Columbia, SC. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in South Carolina. Dr. Baston then graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where she was a recipient of the Carolina Medical Academic Scholarship. After a medical internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in central Ohio, Dr. Baston completed training in medical and surgical eye care at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

In 2010, Dr. Baston moved from Ohio to El Paso and joined the Southwest Eye Institute. She brings with her a caring, compassionate, and delightful approach to the field of Ophthalmology.

When Dr. Baston is not practicing ophthalmology, her hobbies include cooking, physical fitness, and health. Dr Baston also teaches ophthalmology lectures to the students at the Texas Tech Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.
